Sharon - Lancaster tutor
Information About Sharon:
Personal Description:
I have always had a keen interest in reading, writing and English from a young age. I have studied English Literature for 4 years within a higher education setting, firstly at St. Martin's College then moving on to Lancaster University where I completed my Masters course.
Teaching Experience:
* Whilst an undergraduate I worked part-time as a one-to-one mentor for studies at GCSE level.
* I have helped younger primary aged children with their reading skills outside of school in the home environment.
* I have proofread essays, articles and training documents for fellow students, friends, family and at work too within my current job.
Tutoring Approach:
* I can offer a versatile tutoring approach depending on each individual person's needs/requirements.
* I offer a friendly and non-judgemental working environment where tutees can feel at ease, ask questions to aid learning - no matter how big or small - and are able to develop their English skills at their own pace.
* Enthusiasm for the subject, support and encouragement are given with the hope of aiding each tutee's development within English.
* I am happy to help with/offer support in reading, spelling, essay structures, proofreading, research skills and presentations.
