Personal Description:
As a fully qualified teacher* I enjoy assisting those who are struggling with English discover new and interesting ways to make real progress!
I currently teach GCSE English, Functional Skills English, and English as a second language (ESOL) at Bridgwater and Taunton College, as well as teaching private students from my own home.
I would welcome the opportunity to take on more ESOL students. I have taught many areas and levels of ESOL, from teaching Syrian refugees with almost no English, through to preparing international nurses for their IELTS exams.

CertTESOL, which is a degree level qualification, to teach ESOL.
Additionally, I have a degree and a Master`s degree in Theology and am starting my PhD in January 2019 at Exeter University (part-time).

Six years teaching: GCSE English, Functional Skills English, and ESOL (English as second language).
Some A Level Philosophy teaching.
Some lecturing for degree course (Bristol Baptist College, Theology/ethics).
Assistant Examiner for OCR, marking GCSE Religious Studies exams.
Author of educational resources (GCSE Religious Studies) for Zig-Zag publishers.
Author of two novels (published).
18 years of voluntary youthwork (church), mainly teenagers.
Parent of two lively teenagers - supporting them through their GCSE homework and revision!
