Personal Description:

I am 70 years of age and married 46 years and two small Grandchildren. Obtained City and Guilds finals in electrical engineering and several trade qualifications. Spent a lifetime in the electrical industry covering most disciplines from electrical installations to troubleshooting on complex control systems. Finished my career as a Tactical power projects manager.

Spent several years at the Open University and obtained a diploma in Geophysics and a BSc in open Science ( Geology, Technology and general science)

Since my retirement in 2004 I have been and still am a lead invigilator at two high schools. I have a specialty in dealing with difficult and/or children with learning disabilities. I spent a couple of years as a class room assistant at a local high school and now I help to teach Maths and Science at a local primary school. I also help with occassional reading sessions

When I was younger I used to run Line dance clubs and enjoyed the teaching aspects.

Overall I enjoy working with children and passing on my knowledge in the sciences

I try to keep my teaching to a standard that simplifies the subject, makes the subject interesting. and allows the student to become enthusiastic about the subject. I allow myself to empathize with the student
