Personal Description:
I am a highly successful teacher of English Language and Literature with thirty years` experience as both a schoolteacher and a provider of personal tuition. I am supportive and approachable, and tailor my teaching carefully to the individual student`s needs. I have experience of teaching a very wide range of literature texts set by different examination boards, and also act as a marker for AQA at AS level. I offer tuition at a variety of levels
Teaching Experience:
I taught English from 1985 onwards at King Edward VI School for Girls, Handsworth, Birmingham and have worked extensively with both boys and girls for several years at a number of independent tutorial colleges in Birmingham
Tutoring Approach:
I am a firm believer in differentiation: my teaching methods will aim to accommodate the needs of the individual student as well as the specified requirements of the examination board within which he or she is aiming to succeed. I have a long established reputation for nurturing successful working relationships with my students
