Personal Description:

I am a motivational, patient, friendly and energetic individual who has held many responsibilities in the past and has dealt with each and everyone with a positive attitude and a resourceful and organised frame of mind. I have great communication skills and I am determined and willing to go the extra mile. I have a professional approach to work however the most important thing to me is to make music fun and enjoyable in a nourishing environment and in developing an all-round joy of music alongside solid musicianship.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a peripatetic music teacher in piano, vocal, and theory lessons since 2005. I am also part of a company called Bongo Bongo which brings the first wonderful experiences of music to children under five. I have also taught in a conservatoire in Ecuador, South America both in a classroom and individual context.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a love of working with young musicians and creating an atmosphere which enables them to grow not only in a musical sense but also as people. I want to provide a learning space in which they can experiment with their music and which gives them confidence in playing and in themselves. I have been responsible for many children and their music and have come across a great number of ways of teaching and learning and I therefore wish to find something that suits every individual and feels comfortable for them. I have helped a number of young musicians to pass music and theory exams yet always made it about the music, thinking that the exams are an expression of their achievement and not a pressurized process.

Qualifications:

• BA Hons. in Music from the Univesrity of York
• Currently at the Royal College of Music studying for a postgraduate
