Personal Description:
I am very focused teacher and I prepare students painstakingly for exams. I always pay attention to detail and ensure students have a thorough grounding in all the basic skills. I am married with two children who are both at university. I bring my own resources and focus on bringing students up to the required level by using a mastery approach.
Teaching Experience:
I have over 20 years experience of teaching Maths in secondary schools. I have taught all abilities and all levels. At present I am a practicing Head of department and teach Key stage 3, Key stage 4 and Key stage 5. I teach GCSE and A level Maths regularly to students. I am currently teaching GCSE Maths, AQA Level 2 Certificate in Further Maths, Additional Maths, A level Pure and applied modules and also Further Maths A level.
Tutoring Approach:
I prepare students thoroughly by ensuring familiarity with the topics and past paper practice. I bring my own resources and am abreast of all the current changes in Maths education. I receive high student satisfaction ratings for all the pupils I teach.I am a fully trained Maths Mastery specialist and apply Mastery techniques. These involve variation in problem solving and depth of questioning.
