Personal Description:
I am currently working as a Global Campaign Manager, however my background is teaching English as a foreign language and worked as a private tutor part time. I have a teaching background as well as a Marketing background.
Teaching Experience:
Trinity Certificate - ESOL - over 5 years experience. Taught in Canada and UK. Have taught several age groups and have taught at summer schools (age group 10 - 21 years old)
GCSE English - Have been teaching this subject for over 3 years (part time) - first student started on a low B and achieved 2 A's in both English Exams.
Marketing/Business - Have an MSc in Marketing and Strategy - have taught on only a "ad hoc" business and marketing to GCSE students. Currently working in a Marketing environment
Tutoring Approach:
Going through past exam paper
Go through on building an essay together
Looking at structures for essays
Analysing each literature and language piece - brainstorming from characters, sentences and theme
Looking how to quote accurately and referencing
Each session is structured and we work along side the syllabus
Homework is required - writing short stories
Looking at various vocabulary and sentence structures
