Personal Description:
Highly motivated and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering Masters Graduate from one of the leading University in London (Queen Mary University). I have achieved a 1st Class in the MEng course and I have studied many modules relevant to high level Maths and Physics. Furthermore, during my course I have achieved a 1st class in all the Maths modules. Prior to my Degree, I completed A levels in Maths, Further maths, Physics and French.
I currently work as a Project Engineer on weekdays and I generally tutor on Saturdays & Sundays. I can also tutor on weekdays evening to accommodate the need and requirement of my tutees.
I am a friendly and supportive person who gets excellent results by making lessons fun as well as informative. I am considered to be very professional, patient and adaptable and many of my students come to me by recommendation.
Teaching Experience:
13 years of experience in tutoring Maths, Furthermaths and physics from Year 4 up to A level on a regular basis.
I have tutored and helped many students achieve their targeted grades, many of which coming from private, grammar and state schools.
Tutoring Approach:
Over the years, I found that parents play a vital part in the support of any child, and hence I developed a proven method based on this. I always like to include parent as much as possible in order to ensure the best possible structure and outcome. Each student will have a tailored programme, in which progress will be closely monitored, with regular feedback to parents in order for them to be part of the tuition process.
Each student is treated with respect and I use different methods of teaching to accommodate the needs of different students. I find that using methods which will develop independent thinking helps students progress. In the first session I usually prepare a small assessment in order to identify the student's areas of improvement and then address those in the following sessions. Approaching exam periods I will provide student with a number of past exam papers to practice and I will go through any question that is not fully understood. My aim is always to raise the achievements of my tutees beyond their own expectations with challenging and rewarding lessons.
Online lesson is also available and will be conducted on Zoom using an interactive whiteboard. Each student will be given a unique meeting/lesson ID and password for safety and security.
After each lesson, all whiteboard slides will be emailed across to parents and students will also be encouraged to make their own notes. This will allow students to refer back to the slides at any point in their learning and even use them as revision materials. Feedback will also be given to parents after each session.
Homework along with answers will be emailed to parents on a weekly basis and any doubts will be explained thoroughly in the next session.
The Zoom software is compatible with practically any devices and is user friendly.
I would recommend downloading the app on a laptop to maximise productivity.
Please note that this method has been trialled and tested and all parents and students have been delighted with the lessons and slides.
