Personal Description:

I am a qualified maths teacher on a bit of a break to look after my 2 young children. I have a degree in Maths and Psychology and A levels in Economics, Maths and Physics 2 at grade A. I am working towards becoming a Qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired. I love maths and enjoy sharing my knowledge with others.



Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for nearly 10 years and have taught Maths in both a mainstream comprehensive and in a school for children with a range of special needs. I have taught across the age and ability range, including students working towards NC L1, those on A' Level courses and nearly every level in between. Teaching at different levels brings an exciting range of challenges and rewards.



Tutoring Approach:

I love trying to make maths fun and relevant in order to boost confidence. I am patient and don't mind thinking of several ways to explain the same thing if there is a particular topic that a student is really struggling with. I am always positive and I try to teach in a relaxed friendly way because I feel students learn best when they are at ease. I find maths fun and I want everyone else to as well.
I try and make learning fun by using a range of techniques depending on the student's age and ability. I use worksheets, past papers and revision guides as well as games and practical activities.
I always aim to make my lessons personalised and relevant to the individual's needs.
