Personal Description:

I am a male French national (born in 1973) and I have been living in the UK for about 22 years. I have a degree in Economics, a postgraduate diploma in History and a PGCE (teacher qualification) in Modern Foreign Languages (MFL). I am well qualified, experienced, professional, personable and honest.

Teaching Experience:

I have a PGCE in MFL and I have been a full-time teacher of French and Spanish in secondary schools (from Year 7 to year 13) for 20 years. I have successfully taught all age groups and abilities. I have always met my targets in terms of students' grades and attainment level. I also have a long experience of teaching private tuitions and I have always been able to help tutees preparing for exams to obtain an A. I have also successfully taught adults.

Tutoring Approach:

I make sure that my teaching is tailor-made to the needs of my tutee (depending on age, progess to be made, tutee's objective, etc...). As well as teaching whatever skills and knowledge my student requires, I work on increasing their confidence in the subject learned as I think this is key to progress. I also enable my tutee to gain more independence in learning so that he or she becomes self-reliant in the subject. I create a relaxed working atmosphere, and my tutions are very much interactive with an adequate balance of tutor-led/tutee-led activities to make sure that the tutee feels comfortable, enjoys the tuition and progresses as far as possible.

• BA in Economics with English and Spanish
