Personal Description:
Hi, I am a Spanish native speaker originally from Mexico City. I have lived in the UK for the last 13 years. In 2014 I successfully completed a PGCE in MFL and have been teaching full time in the secondary sector since. Additionally, I have a MA in International Business from University of Westminster and have worked in the education sector and as a business consultant. I also count with Purchasing/procurement experience and have a BA in Business Administration from La Salle University in Mexico City. I have diploma studies in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from FUNIBER and have always enjoyed learning languages and about different cultures.
Teaching Experience:
I offer A-Level tutoring (new curriculum 2018)
I offer GCSE exam preparation (new curriculum 2018)
I offer private tuition for KS1 and KS2.
I teach adults and casual learners.
Tutoring Approach:
All lessons are adapted to the age group and skill of my students, bearing in mind the objectives they pursue.
I embrace the communicative teaching approach and work on all four skills: listening, reading, writing, speaking.
I encourage students to speak, skill which sometimes is the most difficult to tackle.
Introduction to Spanish and Latin American cultures are also an important element of my lessons.
