Personal Description:
I am a qualified, experienced Primary school teacher able to provide private tuition in English and Maths to children aged 6-11.
Teaching Experience:
I have over 6 years' full time teaching experience in a Primary school classroom, plus 6 years' experience in 1:1 private tuition to a range of children.
Some of these children have had a range of special educational needs (including hearing impairments, dyslexia, ASD) as well as gifted and talented children.
I have also taught English as a Foreign Language to European students.
Tutoring Approach:
I take a warm, can-do approach to learning to encourage all children to believe that they can succeed. Patience is one of my strongest suits! Where possible, I try to link in my sessions with topic areas that the child is currently following at school as well as the child's own interests and hobbies.
My wide experience of the primary curriculum and the expectations of children's learning and progress within it make me best placed to provide effective, quality tuition sessions that boost the child's confidence and support them with terminology and learning areas that will be familiar to them from school.
