Personal Description:

I am a fully qualified teacher of Economics and Business Studies with a PGCE in Economics and Business Education from the Institute of Education, University College London (UCL). The university is highly re-known for training the best teachers in the UK. I have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), which is a required qualification to teach in all schools.

I have an excellent track record of passing all of my students.

Currently I am a training manager for an international school and I have been employed as an official examiner for Edexcel and AQA A-Level Examining boards and more recently with CIE for IGCSE Economics marking.

Teaching Experience:

I hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), which is an official qualification required in order to teach students effectively.

I have a Masters in Economics and International Development.

Currently, I teach IGCSE Business Studies, Economics and A-Level Economics and manage the professional development programme at my current school.

I privately tutored a large number of students who came to me for support. Many students were struggling and were repeating their A Levels. I ensured I provided all my students with my full attention, focused on strengthening their weaknesses and ensured that they were confident with all of their subject knowledge. I teach students exam techniques and make sure students are aware of what they need to do when 'ANALYSING' and 'EVALUATING' in essays.

Tutoring Approach:

One to one tutoring sessions to meet the personal needs of the student. Will teach at a suitable pace and have a friendly approach. I get along with all my students and use current examples and news to help students understand topics. I enjoy explaining and discussing current issues with students so that they can use these examples in their examination essays. This will also help them to impress the examiner with their 'APPLICATION' skills.

I have experience in teaching AQA, Edexcel, CIE and OCR Economics and Business Studies. I will assess student initially to see their current level. I will teach them exam techniques, revise through key theory and knowledge. I will provide students with past papers and model answers to help them understand what the examiners are looking for.

I always assess my students after teaching them a topic. This is to check whether the student has attained the knowledge they have been taught and to see if progress is being made. Homework is always provided.
