Personal Description:

I am Spanish, from Catalonia, and came to England 8 years ago. It was the challenge of learning to speak English and the enjoyment that gradually came from speaking, reading and writing in English that first fuelled my passion for teaching languages.
I had studied Psychology and did a Master degree in Speech Therapy in Spain. Language in all its aspects has always fascinated me. I did the PGCE at Blackpool and Fylde College when I was a tutor at College
Quoting Charlemagne: To have another language is to possess a second soul.

Tutoring Approach:

I see each learner (even in a group) as a unique individual with his/her needs, skills and previous experiences of learning. I accommodate my teaching to different learner styles and preferences and use different and wide-ranging of activities in my lessons.
I try to give feedback at the end of each session and suggest ways in which their work could improve.
I strongly believe in independent learning; the learner is an active part of the learning process and I act more as a facilitator than as a conventional teacher. I keep motivating his/her enthusiasm for the language through books, films, songs, news... and encouraging e-learning.
And most importantly, for me teaching is about teacher development: Continuous research, practice, sharing and reflection.
