Personal Description:

A popular private tutor based in West London. Author of Excellent English: 11+ Reading & Writing Practice.

At present, I tutor numerous students who live in the Greater London area. My current students vary greatly for instance, several are sitting national examinations whilst others are preparing for entrance exams (such as the 11+ and scholarship exams) into top private, grammar and public schools.

To date, my students have obtained places at schools such as Haberdasher's Aske's, Merchant Taylor's, Queen Elizabeth's School (QE boys & QE girls), Henrietta Barnet and the Royal Grammar School.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught in both Secondary and Primary Schools which has enabled me to be versatile and adaptable; I am able to teach students of varying abilities and adapt teaching styles in ways that best meet their needs. I have also taught Special Needs children (aged 11-18) with Autism, dyslexia, verbal and non-verbal disabilities.

This year alone, I have tutored over 20 students (one to one) and have established myself as a highly reputable tutor within the local and wider area. At present, I tutor students across London in areas such as Ruislip, Pinner, Ealing, Harrow and Hampstead.

I am happy to commute to various areas across West, North and central London. Please note that there is a transportation fee for the cost of me travelling to the student's home. The transportation fee varies from between £5-15 depending on the location of the student. Please contact me to discuss your requirements in detail.

Tutoring Approach:

I use a variety of effective teaching techniques to enhance learning. These include discussion work, presentations, interactive learning, informal and formal assessments as well as essay and exam practice. My lessons are carefully planned and designed to meet the individual needs of the student(s) and tackle problem areas. I also feel that it is important to address areas that the student(s) feels least confident, as attention to such areas improves confidence and academic achievement.

Please note that due to high demand my prices are non-negotiable. My prices reflect my experience, teaching skills and high level of demand. During peak periods, parents & students wait between 6-18 months for lessons. I have established a stellar reputation and am highly regarded for being an exceptional tutor.

I always advise parents/students to book as early as possible to stand the best chance of securing lessons/tutorials.
