Personal Description:
My name is Lorna. I am a committed linguist and teacher who has A Level German, a BA Honours in Italian and European Studies from the University of Sussex and an MSc in Translation from the University of Manchester. I also hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and a Certificate in Counselling, Couples Counselling, Group Facilitation and CBT.
Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring one-to-one in both Italian and German since 1999 and have worked with beginners up to GSCE, both adults and young people. I have taught both French and German in Secondary Schools and have extensive experience of Teaching English as a Foreign Language, both academic and business. I am also a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and offer tutoring to studnets of counselling and psychotherapy requiring assistance with assignments.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is learner-centred. I like to get to know the best way for the student to learn and adapt my style to suit them.
