Information About Jessie:


Personal Description:

My name is Jessie and I am a 2nd year student studying Theoretical Physics at Edinburgh University.



Teaching Experience:

I have previous experience tutoring maths privately as well as taking part in a mentoring system while I was at school in which I helped younger pupils.



Tutoring Approach:

Every student has different needs so it is important to determine each student's own pace of working. So often in maths lessons particularly, students get left behind because the teacher moves on before the student has grasped the basic concepts. I like to plan lessons in advance, and it is therefore beneficial to know what topics the student would like to cover the week before. Of course it is still important to maintain flexibility during the lesson and I am always willing to help with any problems that may have come up during the week.
