Personal Description:
I live in Stirling and tutor in the nearby areas. I am enthusiastic about maths and learning. I am principal teacher of Mathematics and have taught in a number of schools over the last 6 years.
Teaching Experience:
I am currently a principal teacher. I teach first year to sixth year including advanced higher. I have had experience in tutoring advanced higher, HNC and HND maths. I am enthusiastic and committed to helping people progress in maths. I have a lot of resources to use depending on the level, type of learner and age / experience each learner has. I have kept up to date with the ever increasing number of changed to the National, higher and advanced higher requirements. I have an excellent track record of gaining great results in both my department and with tutees.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is firmly based around the student. I believe that the student comes first and I will do my very best to organise sessions so students progress and learrn something new all the time. In previous years I have set out a rough timetable of progression so both myself and the student have a schedule to follow. I feel I am very flexible in my approach to tutoring and if something isn't working I will adapt sessions. I am very clear in my aims for the session and also in my method of tutoring.
