Personal Description:
A graduate in Applied Biology with 2:1 Hons and postgraduate in Molecular biology. I am currently teaching Science at a London secondary. I have worked previously in laboratories and also as a recruitment consultant so have excellent communication skills, and have a real enthusiasm for science and teaching.
Teaching Experience:
3 years teaching experience in the classroom, however i have taught at undergraduate level at University. Have tutored a Year 10 boy both GCSE Physics and Biology in the OCR syllabus (He received an A in both subject areas) and have tutored a year 11 girl in GCSE Science, took her from grade C to grade A. Have taught GSCE Science at school from the AQA syllabus, with exposure to AQA AS Biology too.
Tutoring Approach:
Very patient and laid back approach. Like to promote discussion and speak about the subject with the pupil, opposed to just getting the pupil to sit and listen whilst i talk. Like to work on past paper questions and always set the students a task to do between each session.
