Personal Description:
I am a PhD student at University of Stirling. I have two master's degrees in Communication and Journalism. In addition to that, I am professional Indian Classical music singer. I have performed in various places in India.
Teaching Experience:
Instructor at University of Maine, USA for 2 years: From 2007-2009
A 200 level undergraduate Journalism course- two sections with 20 students in each section. I was a full time instructor with tasks comprising of lecturing, generating assignments, preparing questionnaires for exams and grading.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe in mentoring. Students look up to their teachers in their lives and it is the responsibility of the teachers to show the right path to the students. I also believe in giving confidence to students through encouragement and understanding. I strongly believe that all students are equally intelligent. It is the effort that the put into the subject that differs and reflects in their grades. So, as a teacher, it is my first responsibility to help the students believe in themselves and put more effort into the subject.
