Personal Description:
I have been working in the publishing industry for the past 16 years as Editorial Director at MQ Publications Ltd, an independent publishing house, and more recently as Publisher of Spruce, an imprint at the Octopus Publishing Group.
Teaching Experience:
I am a teacher with the Cambridge-based agency TutorDoctor tutoring in English, English Literature, German, Italian and French. Additionally, I tutor overseas students in English for their entrance into UK universities.
Tutoring Approach:
I would encourage student to practice their language skills by writing small focussed passages that highlight the particular area of study. I would draw their attention to well written pieces of literature and journalism that they could study as a way of understanding the tools of well-honed piece of writing.
