Information About Amanda:

Personal Description:

Hello,
My name is Amanda. I'm a primary school teacher and have been for nearly 13 years now. I have experience teaching a broad range of ages from 3-11. I really enjoy my day to day job in the classroom but I particularly enjoy my role as a tutor as I enjoy being able to spend that all important 1:1 time that children don't always get in the classroom.
Outside of the classroom, I'm Mum to two young children aged 2 and 4 months.
I mainly tutor English and Maths but can also tutor any other primary subject. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Teaching Experience:

I trained at Leeds Metropolitan university from 2002 - 2006. I completed my BA (Hons) degree in Primary Education and returned to the North East to live and work. I have been teaching at my current school for 13 years now. I currently teach Year 3 (7-8 years) however I have experience across the primary age range in all subjects.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a very calm approach to teaching and have been praised by both staff and parents on my ability to give children the self belief they need in order to succeed. I provide children with the skills they need and allow them to choose the methods that work best for them.
