Personal Description:
I am 28yrs old. I am originally from South Africa, but having been living and working in the UK for 5+ years now. I have lived and worked in different areas of LOndon, but moved down to this area just under 2 years ago, as I wanted a more peaceful life! We live out in the country with our 3 cats, 1 dog and I have a 15month little girl. I work full time in Bristol, but have spare time after 6 in the evening and at the weekends.
Teaching Experience:
Qualified in South Africa in 2002. Main Subjects English and History
6 months supply work in London
Maternity cover teaching sociology GCSE and A-level and Health and Social Care for 1 term 2003-2004
Permanent post in September 2004 teaching Sociology A-level and Health and Social Care level 2 and 3. Head of Health and Social Care 2005-2007. Tutored English Key stage 3 and History GCSE for 6 months
September 2007-Moved to Bristol school, teaching Health and Social Care levels 1,2 and 3 and Sociology A-level. Here at present
Tutoring Approach:
Aim to support pupils by explaining work, highlighting key terms, revision and exam practice. Discussion of key topics is essential, to gain undestanding
