Personal Description:
I am an enthusiastic, friendly person.
I love music and enjoy playing a wide range of instruments including harp, flute and guitar, although voice is my main instrument.
I am passionate about books, and encourage all my pupils to read.
Teaching Experience:
I graduated in 2006 with a 2:1 degree in Primary Education with music. After spending two years teaching year groups 3/4 and 5/6 in a Primary school in Reading I have moved to Bristol and am currently working as a supply teacher for schools in and around the Kingswood area.
I also have 3 years experience of teaching flute and singing lessons to individual pupils.
Tutoring Approach:
My aim is to inspire pupils to go on to be the best they can. I am committed to ensuring that children have the opportunity to achieve the highest standards in all areas of the curriculum, and show this through planning out lessons with a view to securing the learning of each individual child. I have high expectations of my pupils and have found that this motivates them to have high expectations of themselves, I encourage them to have high aspirations and to aim for success. I believe it is important to create an atmosphere where education is fun and children enjoy learning.
