Personal Description:
I am a recent graduate from SOAS University of London, having studied BA History and South Asian Studies. I am currently undergoing a Masters in Contemporary History at the University of Bristol.
I have studied English up to A Levels and believe I have the right techniques, manner and methods to enhance a students studies and interest in a subject whilst allow them to develop.
I have knowledge of many languages which could help with foreign students or those struggling with English generally, and believe as quite a young individual myself, I can relate to students very well, making the tution enjoyable.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught children between 7 - 13 their mothertongue language of Gujarati between 1999-2004. Furthermore, I have been a youth leader on a national level for the past six years, therefore have developed the skills, confidence and methods which can be utilised in teaching as well.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is quite relaxed as I believe patience is essential as a tutor. I like to use diverse and innovative methods such as the visual and audio means during times of revision. Predominantly I feel the individuals needs are most important, therefore different techniques work with different people, so I feel adaptability of the tutor is essential.
