Information About Laura:

Personal Description:

I am 25 years old, and I have recently moved to the UK from Ireland. I graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Social Science degree, and in 2006 with a Masters Degree in Sociology. I am keen to return to University to undertake my PGCE.

Teaching Experience:

I have spent a year working with children with autism as an ABA tutor. My experience includes working with children of various needs, each with various skill sets and abilities, in one-to-one and group settings. I also spent 6 months working with a child who was in the process of being integrated into a mainstream classroom.

Presently, I am working as a Learning Support Assistant at a primary school.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that a firm and consistent approach allows for the creation of an optimal learning environment. I am keen to help any child to achieve their academic potential.
