Jessica - Bristol tutor

Information About Jessica:

Personal Description:

I finished university last year and since then have been working in Honduras and Chile. I have returned to Bristol to start a Masters in Biology at the University of Bristol. I am passionate about my subject, focussing mainly on ecology and behaviour but with a sound knowledge of most areas.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience teaching sailing, windsurfing and English as a foreign language. I am confident in my teaching abilities and my knowledge of both biology and Spanish. I have experience of teaching English as a foreign language in England and Chile and have found it rewarding and enjoyable for both the tutees and myself.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very patient and caring person and aim to make lessons fun and relaxed. I encourage questions as I feel that school teaching often prohibits students from asking important questions. I understand that everyone learns differently and I tailor classes specifically to the tutee's needs and personality. This includes teaching intensively or in a more relaxed manner, with homework or without. I can provide advice on writing and exam skills and I am happy to teach groups of up to 3 students if required.
