Personal Description:
I am a 22 year old medical student currently in my fifth year of study at UCL. I thoroughly enjoy working with a wide range of people of all ages and from all backgrounds, and enjoy making a difference in peoples' education. I believe I have good experience in doing so and strong interpersonal skills from my interaction with a variety of patients every day. I would enjoy getting to know my tutee & making the learning experience enjoyable.
Teaching Experience:
I have tutored peers in the lower years at medical school.
I have also assisted teaching at a primary school.
Before coming to university I used to help out at the local Sunday Arabic school.
All of these have been volunteer work and unpaid.
Tutoring Approach:
I hope to bring a fairly relaxed yet productive approach to tutoring. I like to ensure my tutee is comfortable and settled and then starting with the basic principles one can gradually build on these until the tutee feels more confident and able. In particular to exams such as GCSE and A-levels the tutoring will be very much focused to meet the required syllabus. I can also give advice for anyone interested in entering medicine and help with UCAS applications and personal statements.
