Zoe - Newcastle upon Tyne tutor

Information About Zoe:

Personal Description:

I am 24 years old and I am a recent graduate of Northumbria University after completing a degree in Visual Culture, in which I gained an upper second and a PGCE in Primary Education. I have a passion for teaching and enjoy working with children, removing any barriers to learning so children can reach their full potential, as well as improving children's confidence.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified teacher and I am trained to teach children in Key Stages 1 and 2. My teaching and coaching experience extends from my studies, and experience as a progress coach where I worked individually with children helping them to achieve their full potential in school. This was by removing barriers to learning which, in some cases, was as simple as providing a boost to confidence. I sought ways for the children to achieve targets set in relation to their academic results and removed any barriers to progression through help, guidance and monitoring. In my teaching I am energetic and enthusiastic. I constantly look for ways in which I can make learning fun for children, and this would be translated into tutoring.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to make my sessions as relaxed, creative and interesting as possible, ensuring that progress will be made and interest in a particular subject will be maintained. I will work hard to build up an effective professional rapport with the learner so that I can ensure that my tutoring style is appropriate to their specific learning style.
