Personal Description:

My thirst of knowledge added to my growing interest for reading, writing and travelling have lead me naturally to study Literature and Languages; achieving a Degree in European Literature including teaching French as a Foreign Language, specialising in Bilingual Children's Education.

Teaching Experience:

Whilst studying in France I discovered the arcana of the teaching profession through varying modules in: the Science of Education, Psychology, European Culture and Applied General Topics. Furthermore I gained opportunities through my own initiative to work as a volunteer education assistant in a primary school, and to provide private French tuitions to foreign students, adults and young pupils in: Rennes, Stockholm, Cork and now Birmingham; working lately for Berlitz Language Centre. All of these experiences giving me a range of invaluable and adaptable skills.

Tutoring Approach:

I benefited highly from a CNED teacher training programme in France by comprehending the learning standards and strategies relative to each individual's needs and demands. I apply myself to bringing enthusiasm, creativity and interactivity in my teaching methods, while creating and maintaining a disciplined yet agreeable atmosphere in the classroom. I possess a good and efficient understanding and managing time and resources, whilst achieving objectives under my own responsibility as well as part of a team. I consider it a great responsibility to appeal to the interest of the pupils and inspiring them to learn. Moreover I like to create a good working relationship with each pupil by getting to know their personality, as over time it undeniably makes the teaching experience more rewarding for both the pupil and the teacher.
