Personal Description:

iHola! My name is Helen, I am a qualified and experienced Spanish teacher working in Liverpool. I am based in the noth of the city in Litherland, but am willing to travel. I have taught a broad range of ages (from 3 to 36!) I love my subject and enjoy sharing it with other people!

Teaching Experience:

I am a fully qualified Spanish teacher. I hold a BA degree in Hispanic Studies and Postgraduate Certificate of Education. Previously I have worked as an English tutor to children in Barcelona (3-10 year olds), and to adult learners of English in Britain. I have worked as a secondary Spanish teacher for the last three years including GCSE and A Level and can tailor my classes to suit these courses as I am aware of what exam boards are looking for in their top candidates. For those who are new to the subject I have a very flexible teaching approach and can adjust the material to suit the needs of the learner, whether it be for fun, for travel or for business!

Tutoring Approach:

I am easy going and relaxed and very patient - I recently learned French so I understand what it is like to be learning something new! I appreciate that everybody has their own way of learning, but have lots of useful tricks that can help things 'stick' for those who need it. My experience as a secondary teacher is invaluable as I understand the workings of the GCSE and A level exam and know how to get the best from my students, allowing them to achieve excellent grades.
