Personal Description:

I am a young enthusiastic teacher who has experience of teaching students of all ages. I am very approachable and have worked with students of varying abilities and backgrounds in a very diverse city.



Teaching Experience:

I have 3 years experience of teaching Science/Biology in high schools in Edinburgh. I have taught 5-14 in S1/S2, Standard Grade/Intermediate subjects in S3/34, and Intermediate/Higher/Advanced Higher in S5/S6.



Tutoring Approach:

I approach tutoring in the same way as teaching with the ambition to aid students to achieve their full potential. I have an enthusiasm for Biology and have a relaxed approachable manner. I employ many strategies that are used in the classroom and also techniques that are more tailored to the individual student. I will first establish the students strengths and weaknesses ad tailor my approach to areas where the student needs most help. I will provide model answers, summaries and past papers to aid success in the final examinations. In addition, I have many interactive revision activities which students can do online/CD etc.. which I can mark without direct tuition.
