Information About Penny:


Personal Description:

I'm a teacher with more than ten years experience in the classroom and am still supply teaching.
I have a Primary school aged child of my own.A bit 'vertically challenged' and a bit horizontally challenged too (if we're being brutally honest here).



Teaching Experience:

I have taught in various schools, from the East End of London on a rat infested council estate to a pleasantly landscaped school in Thorpe Bay.



Tutoring Approach:

I try to make the lessons as enjoyable as possible and use a range of strategies and games to try and cater for all the different learning styles and personalities.I feel it's vital for the child concerned to feel that we are working together and I talk with them about the areas that they find most difficult.Together we set some short term achievable targets to work on so there's a sense of achievement and their confidence can grow.
