Information About Caroline Elisabeth:
Personal Description:
I am 29 years old. I have an undergraduate degree in Hispanic Studies (2:1) from the Univeristy of Liverpool and an MA in European Studies from the Univeristy of Exeter. I have studied abroad at univeristies in Spain and Portugal and have taken language refresher courses in Montpellier, France and Buenos Aires, Argentina. I love learning and teaching languages and believe they are very important to learn both for being able to travel easily and for helping to break down cultural stereotypes.
Teaching Experience:
I have been a part-time private tutor now for a couple of years (mainly Spanish) and have taught young children, AS level students and adults. I have also worked in Poland as an English teacher to Polish chiildren aged 8-15.
Tutoring Approach:
When I work as a private tutor, I like to meet or speak to the clients first to establish what their specific needs are so I can make the lessons specifically to meet their needs, be they grammar, conversation, writing, reading or any mixture of the above. Depending on what the student wants to achieve and why they are studying the language, sometimes I will use a recognised text book and supplement it with my own materials / materials from other books, or I will use a variety of books and my own materials.
