Personal Description:
I am in my early forties and after a lot of travelling I haev settled in Edinburgh where I work as an interpreter and a sports massage therapist. For many years I worked as a leader of small group adventure tours, and I still have a great love of travel and outdoor adventure.
Teaching Experience:
I taught English for 5 years in Turkey at private language schools, to private clients and at the university. I also taught on a children's summer school in Edinburgh 4 years ago, and taught several private students too.I have an RSA diploma in TEFL
Tutoring Approach:
I am a very relaxed, friendly teacher who achieves very good results. I enjoy teaching and I enjoy learning languages myself so I understand the effort required, and the importance of keeping lessons varied and interesting. I adapt my teaching to the needs of the student and like to work closely with them - I believ most people know how they learn best and I like to plan my lessons according to their style of learning.
