Amy - Abingdon tutor

Information About Amy:

Personal Description:

I am currently post-doctoral research fellow at a medical research institute. Having done science A levels, a bachelors degree, a masters degree and a PhD in biochemistry I have a great deal of experience in different methods of studying, revising and writing exam answers.

Teaching Experience:

I have succuessfully tutored students in GCSE, AS and A2 level Biology as well as A2 level sports science and can provide references from some of my past tutees. In addition I have taught primary level maths and secondary level biology for 6 months in Malawi and taught aspects of University biochemistry courses to both biochemistry and medical students.

Tutoring Approach:

I construct all of my lesson plans individually for a student, depending on what areas and weaknesses they need to focus on. I use a combination of discussion, effective note making and practise questions in each lesson, always taking into to consideration the exact requirements of the student's examining board. In this way I can identify the student's weaknesses and strengthen them in precisely the areas needed to improve thier exam results.
