I have been teaching GCSE and A level students with enthusiasm and passion for more than 20 years - and I achieve great results.

I was one of the 'pilot tutors' on Warwickshire County Council's Tutoring Programme for Children in Care, tutoring teenagers across Warwickshire in literacy.

As a teenager I was lucky enough to receive tuition myself and it made a huge difference, so I really know how much of an advantage it gives.

Tutoring is my full-time job and has been for many years.

I am extremely quick at identifying student problem areas and devising the most efficient solutions, sometimes with budget or time constraints. Where necessary I focus on exam technique as I find many capable and knowledgeable students gain confidence (and marks!) once these skills are taught.

I have a degree in Physics from the University of Nottingham and have taught Science in schools for over 8 years. I am a native speaker of Spanish with many years of experience in teaching the language to children, young people in their GCSE and A Level courses (I am an Examiner and Specialist for AQA and Edexel), and adults who want to learn Spanish for business or holidays. I have a very interactive and friendly approach to teaching. The structure of the courses is very clear from the beginning but, ultimately, the content and the pace of the lessons is always determined by the students. The emphasis is on having good fun while learning, and a lot of the material used in the lessons is original. I am a qualified teacher of Spanish and a native speaker of the language. For the last 23 years, I have taught Spanish at different Secondary schools in Kent. I decided to start tutoring after my experience in trying to get tutors for my own children. As a professional working internationally I thought it would be easy to hand over this important element of their education to someone with both experience and patience. My notion was quickly turned on its head. The Tutors I found taught textbook style with the one shoe fits all approach. My children and others didn't fit into that mould. I very quickly realised that I could do a better job and took the role in house, initially teaching my own daughters before extending out to their friends.

Personal Description:
I am a University graduate who loves reading and supporting students. I love to read and wish to inspire a passion for literature in students.

Teaching Experience:
I have worked in schools and helped students especially SEND students. I made sure to break the tasks down for them while also ensuring that they were able to relate it to something they used day to day such as their favourite show.

Tutoring Approach:
My main approach would trying to break everything down so students would be able to understand it. I break the questions and the literature down so that students are then able to answer it without feeling unsure.
