I am a native Spanish speaker and I am fluent in English too. I am married for more than 30 years to a British citizen and I am currently living in Banbury with my husband and I have two children.

Most of my adult life, I have lived in an English speaking country but I lived and went to university in my home country of Ecuador until I was 25 years old. I did part of my University studies in Ecuador and 5 years in the United States as well.

I have lived in the UK since 2010 and I have taught GCSE and A level Spanish for more than 14 years. I also have experience teaching Primary school children.

Firstly I worked as a supply Spanish teacher at the Inter-American Academy, an international school in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

The latter experience allowed me to work in the American School of Arberdeen as a supply Spanish teacher.

My next teaching position was as a Spanish Club leader for Language4kids Company in Bloxham Primary School and Shenington Primary school and at the same time I was a volunteer in the Foreign language departments at Blessed George Napier Catholic School and Chenderit School.

Regarding translations, I had the opportunity to work at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London for one year using my knowledge in Spanish and English.

I also give casual conversational Spanish lessons to students of all ages.

I have been teaching Geography, History and Spanish for more than 15 years, in schools and universities, as well as privately. I studied at Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina. I also worked as a teacher for the Ministry of Education and the World Bank.

Tutoring Approach:
Although I learned all my foreign languages through a rigorous method very much based on writing and grammar, I am happy to adapt my method to my pupil's needs. Personally, I believe that conversation is the key to becoming fluent in a language, but at the same time I do not neglect the importance of writing and reading comprehension. Hello! Hola! My name is Fernando and I am a Spanish teacher. Born in Valencia (Spain) I have completed my degree in English Studies and specialised in the teaching of foreign languages. I have been working as a teacher of languages (both English and Spanish) for three years now, and I hope to keep doing it for many more.

Tutoring Approach:
As a tutor, I try to be flexible in my approach to adapt to my students' needs. Most of the time I try to be as clear as possible in the explanation of the grammar so it serves a purpose communicatively. Therefore, I put an emphasis on grammar and communicative practice, both related to one another.
My main objective is to make my lessons engaging and interesting, always specially tailored for the needs of the students.
I can also bring my own teaching material or use that of the student.

I am a Primary teacher with four years experience. I am 24 years old, based in Wishaw and I am happy to travel.

Teaching Experience:
I am a classroom practitioner with four years of teaching experience. I am currently a class teacher in a primary school in North Lanarkshire. I have extensive experience working with a range of ages in stages in the primary sector. In addition, I have also taught children with a range of additional support needs and can tailor my teaching methods to meet the needs of each individual learner. I am a passionate teacher who will support children and provide them with engaging and meaningful learning experiences.

I adopt a holistic approach to teaching, getting to know the learner and assessing their academic needs thoroughly, before planning and implementing a personalised programme of work.
