I have 7 years experience working as a Spanish teacher in secondary schools in London including Alleyn's, Lady Margaret School and Kingsdale, teaching years 7 to 13. My exam classes have a very good track record. This year, my year 11 class are predicted 58% grades 9 to 8 and 100% 9 to 6, and my A Level class 63% A*-A and 88% A*-B. I have worked with both Edexcel and AQA in this time, so I know what it takes to get the best grades, especially at GCSE. I was born in Madrid where I studied Filología at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. I have a Master degree in Teaching Spanish as a foreign Language by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. I am currently working as a supply teacher for The East Lothian. I am a PVG Scheme member, children and adults.

Personal Description:
I am a professional in the Wine Industry, having previously worked for the mass participation sport company that organised the Barcelona Marathon. I have a 2:1 Degree in Modern Languages with Business (Spanish & Portuguese) from the University of Nottingham, having learned Spanish from the age of 13. I spent a year living in various parts of Spain, improving my conversational and business Spanish, as well as annual trips to Andalucía visiting relatives.

Teaching Experience:
During my year abroad at university, I spent 1 month working as a Teacher's Assistant at a school near Sevilla and more recently I've tutored the children of family friends at 11+ Level, GCSE and A-Level. In my previous employment, I also held monthly Spanish classes with colleagues to improve general conversational language.

Tutoring Approach:
I take an adaptable approach to teaching, tailoring each class to the needs of the student. Whether across reading, writing, listening or oral, I focus on ensuring time is spent efficiently so that the outcomes contribute to upcoming exams/tests/challenges etc. This is achieved through a collaborative effort that allows my students to understand and then repeat.

I have been Modern Languages teacher for 16 years and I am dedicated to sharing my passion for Spanish, Italian and French with my students. I love tutoring as I can tailor sessions to meet the needs of each learner. I have a had a lot of success in the past with learners of all ages as I have taught from nursery age to adult learners. I am also an SQA marker for Higher and Advanced Higher Spanish and bring all of I have learned from this experience to support my students.
