In 2019 I founded a learning community Metaforlearning Cic where I run Self-Manage Learning programmes for young people.

Since 2005, I have been giving home lessons to adults wishing to learn/improve their French for various purposes (moving abroad, professional, personal interest). All gave me positive feedback and confirmed that the tutoring had been very much appropriate to the needs they specified when hiring me.
Also, I teach classes of 7 to 11 years old twice weekly at a local primary school as well as training in a local secondary education school in Alton.

Tutoring Approach:
The sessions will start with a short series of tests to assess your level. Then, if it allows it, most of the tutoring will be in French. If not, we will build up your confidence to be able to switch to all French as soon as possible, although, not until you are comfortable with the idea.
I use French literature (from children's books to classic novels) and grammar books, DVD's to base my work on.
Homework will be given when I find it necessary and my students needs will be often reassessed to ensure maximum efficiency.
I like working in a calm and relaxed atmosphere and feel that it is very important that my students communicate how they feel about the services I am providing, so I can go back or slower if they need.

I'm an experienced primary educator with over 30 years experience. I will work alongside your child and support them in their learning. Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching since 1987. I have experience from EYFS through to Year 6 teaching the Primary Curriculum. I have experience of coordinating various subjects in schools, from Design Technology to being Special Education Needs coordinator. I currently teach KS2 children with Grammar, Spelling, Spanish and Music.

Tutoring Approach:
Each child is an individual and so my approach to teaching and tutoring is to reflect this. I have tutored a KS3 pupil in Conversational Spanish as part of her Duke of Edinburgh award (developing a new skill), as well as a KS2 pupil in Spanish, English and Maths. In Film Studies, my background is multidisciplinary, with a specialization in post-production, animation, and sound design. I bring a practical, creative approach to lessons, showing you how technical skills like editing directly contribute to powerful storytelling.

Teaching Experience:
Film:
I have worked as a teaching assistant for a senior lecturer at the National University of Colombia. Specifically, for the first production workshop that new students will encounter during the film and television production BA. I encouraged student to experiment with their project and to get a good foundation of critical concepts for film making associated to the audiovisual narrative.

Spanish:
I haven't taught Spanish as a second language; however, I have taught English to adults and kids as a personal tutor. I would usually identify their goals and then help them to achieve them.
