I graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a joint Honours degree in French and Italian (language and studies). As part of a distance-learning Masters degree in association with FUNIBER and the Universidad de León, I carried out an ethnographic action research project using a democratic approach called Community Language Learning. It incorporates translation, transcription and recording techniques.

When I am not working I love volunteering, practising ice skating or track cycling with my daughter and also growing an edible garden !

I was born in Madrid where I trained as a primary teacher and classical musician (cello and chamber music).

I trained in dance from the age of 3, and when I was about 13/14, started helping with the teaching of the younger children at the school. Teaching Experience:
I have lived in the UK for the past 12 and I have been teaching here since 2016, however I have been working in Spain and other places in the world, for more than 10 years as a tutor and also as a translator.
I have vast experience with GCSE and A Levels , DELE , AQA, Cervantes, Oxford and Cambridge as well as B levels and C levels.
All these years I have been helping students to go through the exams, getting as a result the maximum grade, every single case.
I have also helped adults who wanted to learn Spanish to be able to communicate when they are surrounded by Spanish people, also with a great success.

The most essential requirement for a pupil is passion and the willingness to learn; the rest is the teacher's responsibility.
I started teaching Spanish as a means of earning a living when I first came to the UK in 1973. Ever since then, it has always been a source of income. I am a professional painter, but selling paintings is not a reliable form of income. I have excellent references from former students that I can provide on request.

In Film Studies, my background is multidisciplinary, with a specialization in post-production, animation, and sound design. I bring a practical, creative approach to lessons, showing you how technical skills like editing directly contribute to powerful storytelling.

Film:
I have worked as a teaching assistant for a senior lecturer at the National University of Colombia. Specifically, for the first production workshop that new students will encounter during the film and television production BA. I encouraged student to experiment with their project and to get a good foundation of critical concepts for film making associated to the audiovisual narrative.

Spanish:
I haven't taught Spanish as a second language; however, I have taught English to adults and kids as a personal tutor. I would usually identify their goals and then help them to achieve them.
