I am an experienced and skilled Tutor of French, Russian and English as a foreign language. I have been tutoring continuously on a part time basis for 12 years, typically working with 5 or 6 students at any one time. I have spent several years living and working abroad, so this has given me quite an international outlook. At the same time, I am quite well-travelled within the UK and have a good understanding of English history, culture and customs. Your goal will become my goal in finding the right material for the training. I will become your best friend and mentor in the learning process, I will help and support you in everything. One of my main tasks is to make my student feel comfortable and confident in the lesson. I am a very attentive and kind teacher, so we will solve any difficulties in learning easily and quickly. Individual approach is my method of teaching. In the lesson, we will perform many practical tasks, we will reflect and talk on various topics that will be useful in life.

Teaching Experience:
I am a native speaker of Russian and a Head of a very successful Russian department in a grammar school in London. I teach pupils from year 7 to 13.
I have been teaching languages in the UK for the past 25 years and pride myself in helping my students achieve their dream of studying Russian at Oxbridge and other Russel group universities. Many of my pupils fall in love with the language and carry that love throughout their lives. I am a teacher-examiner for GCSE and A level Edexcel Pearson examboard.

Hey! I'm Elena, a native Russian speaker living in the South-East of England with my family. I've been deeply passionate about teaching English and Russian since 1996 when I started my own language school in Russia. The joy of running my school led me to explore languages and cultures.

After moving to the UK, I continued teaching English. When my daughter was born, I faced the challenge of teaching her Russian in an English-speaking environment where even Russian kids speak English. Determined to make it work, I dove into innovative techniques for teaching Russian as a foreign language. For the last 12 years, I've been successfully teaching Russian to school-age children and adults. I'd love to help you on your language-learning journey!
