Let me briefly describe you my past experience. I was born in Saint-Petersburg and graduated from Russain State University of Foreign Languages, I have a master's degree in teaching of modern languages. I have been working first at school, then privately for more than 15 years.

I started teaching Russian at Trent College in Derbyshire as an extra-curricular activity for a group of students in year 7-8 and 9, providing all the teaching materials and authentic programme. I covered all the main parts in terms of philology and diverse the lessons with curious facts about the country, traditions and customs. At the end of one term course, students had basic skills in reading and writing, they were able to introduce themselves and speak on common themes (hobbies, cuisine, travelling etc). Later I started to assist students in their preparations for GCSE and A levels in Russian. At the moment, I have positive reviews from my students who passed GCSE and A Levels on A and A*. After relocating to Cornwall, I prepared my own Russian course, which I delivered in Tree Language School in Truro. I aim to make ideas clear to the student, in order that they can use them fluidly and flexibly, and to encourage genuine understanding. I enjoy teaching and believe learning starts with the learner, adapting ideas and course content to meet their interests and needs.
I am experienced both with teaching children and adults for business, pleasure or exams. I prepare students for their GCSE/iGCSE, leading them to enter leading prep schools and universities
Last year, for example, my students gained their highest A-level mark in Spanish and French, some of my students got their international language diplomas and went to study and work abroad.

I am a postgrad student in applied linguistics as well as an EFL teacher with a TEFL certificate and five years of online tutoring experience. I specialise on teaching general English and pronunciation (Modern RP/SSB) to adults.

Tutoring Approach:
My lesson planning is based on communicative and lexical approaches to teaching foreign languages, and I pay particular attention to pronunciation and fluency. You can look forward to learning lots of new idioms and handy expressions that will make you sound more natural. There will be authentic audio, video and reading materials, and a lot of speaking practice.

I am from Ukraine and because of the war had to leave my country with my wife, my daughter and my 3 year old grandson.
I am an active person interested in sports, particularly cycling. I love literature. My favourite writer is Haruki Murakami. I am fond of technology and computers.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching English, including Advanced level and English for specific purposes, for 29 years. I have Cambridge Advanced and Proficiency in English certificates as well as CELTA (grade B). A lot of my students successfully passed Cambridge First Certificate in English, Cambridge Advanced English and IELTS. Russian is my native language and I have taught it to people from many different countries.
