My name is Ewan, I'm 36 years old and from Glasgow. After completing my BA (Hons) in Glasgow, I moved to Manchester to do a Master's in History; subsequently I completed my PGCE, MA in Education, and an MBA. Tutoring Approach:
My goal with tutoring to not just instruct students, but to empower them to be proactive learners. I am passionate about metacognition and aiding students in being aware of their thinking, maintaining curiosity and instilling faith in their beliefs and abilities. Learning should be enjoyable, but that does not mean we should not stretch ourselves. I aim for a balance of enjoyment and fun, with development of core skills. This is not just teaching to an exam, but teaching to be a life-long learner.
