This coaching-based approach I take has proven highly successful. I approach each student and the sessions with an open mind to learn what I need to be of support.

Combining motivational coaching techniques, I offer a uniquely engaging, personally attuned service. The first lesson typically consists of a complimentary educational assessment (usually 30 minutes) to help identify key areas for improvement . All results can be shared with the parent/guardian. Based on this initial assessment, a 100% individual and tailored programme of learning is created. I have spent many years accumulating a wide range of academic qualifications, and my work has often primarily consisted of passing on my knowledge to others in a form they can understand. I get a lot of satisfaction from helping people to understand something they thought was beyond them. Teaching Experience:
I bring over four years of teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant, specialising in guiding first-year undergraduate students who are just beginning their journey in Psychology. During this time, I have gained extensive experience teaching a wide range of topics and modules within the Psychology degree program through interactive seminars and lectures. I am currently undertaking the Advanced HE Associate Fellowship to develop and demonstrate my teaching excellence.

A significant aspect of my role involves teaching students how to write academic essays that meet university-level standards, which differ substantially from A-level expectations. I am well-versed in the university mark scheme, having assessed and provided feedback on many different essays and practical reports. This experience has honed my skills in delivering constructive written feedback and conducting one-on-one feedback sessions to help students improve their work.

In addition to my role as a teaching assistant, I also have experience as a teaching demonstrator, where I provided hands-on instructions and facilitated practical sessions for second-year students. This role allowed me to engage students in experimental aspects of psychology to reinforce theoretical knowledge through practical application.

Furthermore, my ongoing PhD studies in Psychology keep me at the forefront of current research and methodologies which I incorporate into my teaching to provide students with up-to date knowledge and practices.

With a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment, I am dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals and develop a deeper understanding of Psychology. My name is Kierri & I've been a professional tutor for the last 15 years. I genuinely love to learn and believe I learn as much from my students, as they do from me. I'm a writer & a poet & though young people don't always favour these topics, I believe my passion for English, really inspires and motivates students and if they don't catch the inspiration for learning, their grades naturally raise as they go along. I've dedicated my professional life to teaching & I much prefer teaching students one on one. They get the generalised teaching at school & then they get the attention they truly deserve in the comfort of their own homes. Schools teach students to pass exams, I tutor to encourage a love for learning and overall development. I've been dedicated for 15 years and have taught hundreds of children and adults, of all ages and at all levels and abilities - including children with SEND needs.
