I have been teaching GCSE and A level students with enthusiasm and passion for more than 20 years - and I achieve great results.

I currently tutor students in English Language, English Literature and Maths - in the evenings and at weekends.

My approach for students studying Psychology at degree level depends on what is required. Most students require guidance with essays, reports, dissertations and write ups; I usually go through the assignment with the student giving valuable, detailed feedback on what can be improved and exactly how they can go about doing so. This can involve several redrafts until the work has been completed to the students' full potential.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Mairead (pronounced ma-raid, an Irish name meaning Margaret). I am a 26 year old living in Feltham, I work full time as a Disability Advisor and Autism Specialist Mentor supporting higher education students to access reasonable adjustments, provide pastoral support and advice. I also co-run workshops and events for the university I work for. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking, spending time with my family, going to the gym, long walks and nature trails, swimming and arts and crafts. I am also a big fan of the cinema and watching the new films out. I graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2018, with a first class honours degree in Criminology and Sociology BSc. I am a friendly and approachable tutor with extensive experience in academia, both as a graduate teacher and a student (I'm currently a PhD Psychology student). Having completed my GCSEs, A-levels, a BSci in Psychology, an MSci in Psychological Research, and currently pursuing a PhD in Perceptual Psychology, I understand the challenges students face. I know what it is like to miss something or not quite grasp a concept as explained by a lecturer. I bring over four years of teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant, specialising in guiding first-year undergraduate students who are just beginning their journey in Psychology.
