Cliché: music is my passion. I am an experienced musician who gigs regularly around the North East, South West/East and South Wales. I have played in many bands over the years on saxophone, piano/keyboard and clarinet ranging from traditional, classical orchestras to jazz big bands and funk bands. I am versatile in many genres frequently gigging with my own band, a jazz sextet as well as open nights and headlining bands as the lead player. My main performance work includes (but is not limited to) recording, touring and gigging with London based rock and roll group Hannah Rickard and the Relatives. I am both an experienced teacher and performer, having performed at various festivals throughout the country. During the past five years I have taught a range of age groups from young school pupils to adults in both one to one lessons and group settings. During my later years of school I assisted with a young children's string orchestra and also an intermediate traditional music group. As part of my degree I have studied different techniques of teaching traditional music within the community.

The initial lesson provides an opportunity for both myself and the pupil to discuss any past musical experiences and also understand what they wish to gain from future lessons. I plan my lessons around the interests of the pupil which in return allows them to get the most out of their lessons. I am a former trombonist of the Band of the 3 BattalionRoyal Regiment of Wales, and former conductor of other male choirs including Newport (Gwent) and Snowdown (Kent).

I also studied singing at many RSCM courses. I have performed in a variety of venues including Bath Abbey, the Royal Albert Hall, Westminster Cathedral, Cardiff Castle, Dover Castle, Plymouth Hoe, the NEC and Wembley.

I really enjoy performing, conducting and teaching - all three skills I use to the pupil's advantage.

Born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1981, Andreas started his classical guitar studies at the age of seven, under the tuition of Anastasios Amiridis. He completed his guitar diploma at the Municipal Conservatory of Thessaloniki in 2002 receiving the highest mark.

Andreas then continued with his education obtaining a Bachelor and Master's degree in music from Ionian University of Greece. He has also a Postgraduate title from Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria.

Past achievements include gaining a BTec level 3 in Music Technology, Designing and growing a successful underground music website (now officially an archive only), and co founding and running Graffiti Breakz (2007-2010), a successful club event which incorporated DJ's, Live Music and Live art.

Teaching Experience:
I am a qualified teacher at City & Guilds level 3 (2015). I recently completed my BA Hons in Music production (2013/2016), I plan to take a year out to gain teaching experience before moving onto to a PGCE in Music Technology for the Lifelong Learning sector at UCL (2017/2018). I already Hold BTec level 3 Diploma in Music technology (2006).

Tutoring Approach:
No matter what your current skill level or preferred style of music, I will be able to help you improve and enhance your skills or GCSE/A-level/Degree course work.

I am also a native english speaker and have a keen interest in academic writing and the english language.

I am willing to travel to a students home, however if the tuition is music based, I would recommend coming to my home studio, which is fully equipped with industry standard equipment and software. This environment will help your skills and knowledge elevate rapidly to the next level. (equipment list found at the foot of this section).

Having studied at Degree level, I am well suited to help you with course work for GSCE/A-level and Degree. Your course work will benefit considerably from the insights gained from my guidance.

However if you have left formal education and require assistance with a music project from the angle of enhanced production and arrangement techniques, I am also glad to be of assistance.

Personal Description:
I`m a professional singer and guitarist graduated in modern singing (BAhonsConservatory of Music) drama (Acting Diploma) and performance technique ( Tech Music School Diploma) With over 10 years experience as a coach, mainly working with children and young people.
I`m currently on stage in the West End and I dedicate my time off to one of my biggest passions, which is teaching. I'm a native Italian though I've spent most of my life abroad, due to my career, mainly living in the Uk in the past 15 years.
I offer individual tuition in a fun and engaging way, helping young and aspiring musicians, as well as adults and professionals, find the best way to express themselves through singing/playing.
I also offer Vocal technique tuition for actors and professionals who regularly use their voice at work ( breathing, diaphragm support, voice placements).
Guitar lessons for children and adults of all level, ABRSM, LCM and other exams prep. Music Theory classes also available via Skype.
I work from my home in central London, near Tottenham Court Road Station, in a relaxed and friendly enviroment.
I also teach Italian and diction/pronunciation at all levels.

Teaching Experience:
Over 10 years teaching experience within school settings as well as being a freelance tutor in a number of disciplines. I`ve been working with students of all abilities and age, beginners to advanced.

Tutoring Approach:
My lessons are always customised. I don't like following a standard method of teaching as I strongly believe that music is something very much related to the emotional side of each individual, especially if we are talking about singing.
I trained in several techniques and methods myself, from opera to jazz and musical theatre, achieving a deep understanding of the vocal instrument, and therefore I pride myself on having the possibility to fallow every time a different path, tailor making the lesson for every student according to their personal skills and wish, putting all my knowledge at the service of our goal.
My classes are always fun and effective, and my students and I build strong relationships based on trust and mutual interests.
Regarding the guitar lessons, I believe that the classical approach is always a good start. So we usually go through the basics of music and of the instrument together to build a strong and solid technique that will lead the student to a complete autonomy.
