A Royal Academy of Music graduate, I have taught piano privately for over 20 years. As well as children and adults from the ages of 4 to 84, I have tutored and mentored high profile rock musicians, film composers and producers.

I taught composition in the music technology department at London College of Music (Junior College) for twelve years where I became department head from 2004--2012. As a composer and producer I have two decades of experience writing for theatre, TV, film and the concert hall. I have written string arrangements for bands and worked as session pianist for several artists including Cathal Smyth (Chas Smash from the ska band, Madness).

Born in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1981, Andreas started his classical guitar studies at the age of seven, under the tuition of Anastasios Amiridis. He completed his guitar diploma at the Municipal Conservatory of Thessaloniki in 2002 receiving the highest mark.

Andreas then continued with his education obtaining a Bachelor and Master's degree in music from Ionian University of Greece. He has also a Postgraduate title from Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria.

He was invited as a soloist in many festivals like the 4th Congress Association of Southeastern Guitarists, Naxos Guitar Festival, Evangelos Asimakopoulos guitar festival in Patras etc.

He has performed as a soloist guitar player as well as accompanied by Chamber music or by Orchestras. One of Andreas career highlights came in October 2008 when he played in Athens Concert Hall with the Athens Camerata-string Orchestra in front of HRH Princess Irene of Spain.

Since 2008 he has begun making his own transcriptions of works by composers of the wider musical repertoire on the guitar. As of July 1st 2010 the release of his first personal CD called "Classical Styles for Today" is ready for purchase.

Hello, I am 21, live in Hull and have been playing the drums for around 5 years. I am currently studying Music Performance at university and have just finished my first year in Bristol. I have lots of experience playing live with various artists and bands. I play many styles and appreciate all music as an art. Susannah is a Master's graduate from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, London, where she was supported by the Dame Felicity Lott Bursary and The Seary Trust.

Susannah is a member of the Aureus Trio, exploring works for flute, cello and piano.

Whilst at Trinity, Susannah was chosen to participate in the conservatoire's side-by-side orchestral project scheme, performing alongside professional flautists from the Philharmonia Orchestra and Welsh National Opera Orchestra. With numerous ensembles, Susannah has played at Blackheath Halls, St. James Piccadilly, Institute of Contemporary Arts and St John's Smith Square, among other venues.

My teaching has reading and listening at it's heart. The best thing I have done since coming to London is open my ears to all the styles I didn't like, listen over and over, until they started to grow on me! Music is a cultural and historical lesson as well, it's interesting to see where the popular styles of today came from! Reading will just make you more employable as all the session, musical theatre and holiday camp drummers will tell you! I use software such as Noteflight which allows me to playback scores, making sight reading an easier and more enjoyable process, and meaning I can share scores with students via email. Each student is also given a video recording of what we studied in the lesson, which is a very valuable resource, something they can take away from each lesson, and makes remembering what we learned much easier!

I come from a family where music is extremely important. At school, my first band was a rock covers band where my brother played bass. We played regularly in pubs in Dorset, (you may have heard of the Teddy Rocks festival, we played in the very first festival and have played with my band Last Resort ever since). Robert is a Film/TV Composer, Music Producer and Songwriter from Hertfordshire England.

Robert is a graduate of the prestigious (SMPTV) Screen Scoring Masters program at USC (Thornton school of music). He was mentored by renowned film composers including; Bruce Broughton, Christopher Young & Patrick Kirst. At USC he was awarded the 'Nordstrom Family Scholarship'. My musical journey started at a young age when I was granted a scholarship to study classical singing at a music conservatoire. Later, I was introduced to Jazz and fell in love with its improvisational aspects, emphasis on self-expression, musicianship, and fostering of creativity in the momentum. I regularly perform in various projects in London, including with my jazz band singing music from 'The Great American Songbook', Brazilian tunes, vocalese, contemporary Jazz and original compositions around London in venues and festivals such as EFG, Green Note, Vortex, Jazz Cafe Posk, Milton Concert Hall etc.

I teach vocal styles, including Jazz, Pop, R'n'B, Soul, Funk, and Folk. My teaching method is a step-by-step approach, starting with the basics of the musical score; it is also structured, student-centred, and outcome-oriented, focusing on achieving musical ambitions and cultivating creativity and self-expression while ensuring a disciplined and productive learning experience. Lessons are tailored to students' needs and adapted to their pace, learning style, and proficiency level by integrating proven techniques, including Accent, Estill, and Alexander, in my teaching methodology.

A standard session with me encompasses the following:

Personal Description:
I am a student at Bangor University with a passion for music that I would love to share. I teach beginner and intermediate violin, as well as beginner singing.

Teaching Experience:
I have been playing violin for 9 years and singing in choirs for 10, with 2 years' experience leading an orchestra as concertmaster.

Tutoring Approach:
I'm happy to teach in any style or format you might be interested in, including electric and acoustic violin! I have the most experience in Classical and American Folk music but am interested in all genres. I will help you achieve any goals you might have in music; exams and qualifications or just learning for fun.
