My approach to proof-editing / English checking is to look primarily at the language. For some clients - university students in particular - it is not appropriate to offer an editorial service as this goes against the rules of university submissions. However, where I think a mistake has been made or something is not clearly expressed - and it is not a simple matter of correcting the language - then I will flag it up to the student so they can look at it again.

My main aim with my tutees is to build their confidence and enthusiasm for the subject. To this end I concentrate on teaching the skills they require to achieve the grades they want. My role is not to replace the teaching they get at school but to compliment it so a tutoring session could concentrate on planning an essay the student has been asked to write or going through specific areas the student needs help with. As I studied for my GCSE's and A-Levels a few years ago, I have a lot of revision notes and books which are of great help and am happy to mark practice past papers for students as I know personally how helpful these are.

I'm Andrea an italian man with a long academic background in cyber security. Actually I'm on the last year of a PhD in cyber security.
English its my second language, I'm italian mothertongue and my knowledge of italian is very high level without any particular accent.
I'm a person who like to share knowledge and help other people to better understand other cultures and particular arguments.

I love to have nice conversations and feel the lovely side of any culture.

Teaching Experience:
I haven't teaching experiences just a couple of times in university with a group of guys to share VIVA and projects ideas.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring can be to check some homeworks in italian language or simply help someone to have a correct conversation fixing pronunciation or common grammar errors.

I have been living in London since 2010 where I achieved a Post-Grad diploma in HR at Westminster University in 2016.
I have been teaching Italian language since 2018. During the pandemic I decided to turn my passion about teaching into a full time job.
In 2022 I attended a CLTA certified course at International House on teaching Italian as a second language to adults.

I work on a free-lance basis for two language schools in London and I devote the rest of my working schedule to private students. I also do small groups.

I am qualified and experienced in preparing students for GCSE and CILS certificates.

Teaching Experience:
am a native Italian who turned his passion for Italian language and culture into his profession.
I am a friendly person, always looking to create a relaxed and easy-going atmosphere during the classes.

I am available for online classes or in person.
Lessons will be tailored on the student's needs and interests.
During the first lesson I will assess your level just with a very informal chat and we'll set up together a functioning plan.

During my classes I make use of various resources and I design my own material which I send to the student to revise. I also provide homework on a regular basis.
