My name is Valentinos. I am a native Greek speaker and professional teacher of the Greek language. I am passionate about teaching and the use of the new technologies in education.
I studied at the University of Athens Classical Philology (this include Modern and Ancient Greek language) and teaching approaches and theories to the subject. I graduated in 2011 and I came to Liverpool for my masters at the University of Liverpool. I studied Ancient History and at the same time, I started an online course from the center of Hellenic studies in Athens which focuses on the teaching of Greek as a foreign language.

Teaching Experience:
I have been an online Greek tutor since 2014. I've been teaching one-to-one Skype lessons and making video lessons for my students so as to explain different aspects of the Greek language. I have also spent three years at Liverpool's Greek School in Liverpool (UK) teaching and giving private Greek lessons there. I focus on general, everyday Greek and I now specialize in adult learners.

Tutoring Approach:
Having students from so different backgrounds and with so different learning purposes and available time and learning pace, my teaching approach cannot be only one. I, always, arrange a pre-lesson meeting (either online or face to face) with interested people in order to obtain information regarding their level, the time they want to invest in their learning, their interests and their favourite way of learning things.
